Welcome to Media Area Girls Softball: Home of the Media Swarm

Thanks to everyone who came out to Field Cleanup Day on Saturday!  We had a HUGE turnout and couldn’t be more grateful for the support.  Lots of leaves and trash collected, drainage ditch dug, drains cleared, shed organized, team equipment handed out and so much more!  We are looking forward to an amazing season ahead!

 

Season Timeline

The Spring season will run from mid‑March through the end of May. Divisions 12U, 10U, and 8U will conclude the season with playoffs.

For 8U, playoff seeding will be randomized to reinforce our focus on fundamentals, equal playing time, and rotating positions-because at this age, development and fun matter far more than standings.

 

 

Exciting Changes to Our 6U Program

Beginning this season, 6U will shift to our new “FUN‑damentals” format-no longer traditional T‑Ball.

The updated 6U program will include:

  • A blend of drills and mini‑games to keep players engaged
  • Skill‑building activities designed to prepare them for success in 8U
  • A fun‑first environment focused on confidence and development
  • A dedicated league coordinator overseeing instruction and player experience
  • Coach‑pitch game action to close out the season-just like Fall Ball
